I can’t imagine these two would have been able to tolerate each
other.
“Courage and Conviction”
By Joseph Manno
The conversation wasn’t proceeding as Solok
had envisioned.
“Since you will not volunteer, Lieutenant, I must amend my request
into a directive.”
T’Vaar’s tone remained carefully neutral.
“Understood.”
T’Kumbra’s captain drew breath to continue, but she hadn’t finished.
“That, however, was not a lawful
order. I refuse.”
His expression hardened perceptibly.
“You possess skills which would prove invaluable, and have the
means to convey them. I thus beg to differ.”
Now her disdain manifested.
“Beg or threaten, I shall not share the gifts of T’Pel with you and your assemblage of elitists.”
For a Vulcan, Solok sneered well.
“Dismissed… Ensign.”
