And no, I’m not making this up just now. Matthew Pook was supposed

“I’m not asking for
myself. Sam got pretty attached to all of you. The kid that stowed away now
wants to be a Starfleet officer… and she’s going nuts here at 242.”
“Why not go to
“You know why.”
The Orion sighed.
“All
right. I’ll let him know you’d like the CMO
spot back …”
Her voiced hardened.
“…on one condition.”
“Which is?” Jane prodded.
“Stop insulting my intelligence; admit you’re more concerned for
your career than Sam’s… or it’s no deal.”
“You bitch.”
Parihn smiled.
“I’ll take that as a ‘yes.’”
