The boy approached wearing an expression Sevek knew meant a difficult question.

"Father... there are humans all over the galaxy, right?"

"Not quite ‘all over,’ Cicero," he amended, "but, yes, through a great expanse of space."

"Then how...?"

The tone captured his fuller attention: The boy was near tears.

"What is it?"

"…how can Santa get everyone's stuff to them in time?"

The old Vulcan pondered that. Finally, he answered.

"The legendary St. Nicholas has a workshop, and the elves employed there possess magical skills. Therefore, it is logical to conclude...

"...that Santa’s sleigh has transwarp drive."

His son smiled.
