frowned and shook her head.

If he was concealing a smile, he did so with command aplomb.
“Go on.”
“Chess is about equations… algorithms… and I am significantly more intelligent than you
are. So why…?” She gestured helplessly at the board.
He arched a brow, and allowed his amusement to break through.
“While you are far more
intelligent, Sera…”
He picked up his king and, with it, toppled her queen.
