“Hi, Mommy!” her daughter giggled, and then got back to “getting down.”

“Uh… eh… Hi, sweetie!” Benteen then fell silent, listened and watched, as Parihn took Gabi through the final steps of their duet.

“…You do the ‘Hokey Pokey’ and you turn yourself around…”

The Orion, though, searched Erika’s face, and approached. Hurt, she whispered, “You thought I was teaching her ‘The Dance of the Seven Veils’…? The ‘Bump-and-Grind’…? The ‘Shavani Koviahr’?”

Parihn turned back with a smile… but that was for Gabi.
