Stung, he waited angrily for the NCO's signal.
Un-suiting after they'd exited the
airlock, Johansen lectured, "Safety first. Shortcuts can kill."
"Sir," March snapped.
"'Scuse me?"
"Protocol requires you address me
as 'sir,'" Patterson reiterated.
Johansen laughed.
"You're no officer yet; and
at this rate, you'll never get commissioned… Cadet.
"Believe me… that attitude'll make your fitness report."
Furious, Patterson fell silent, but
promised himself, If my first tour is as
your divo, Johansen…
